There was Zucchero first with Salmo and then with Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini and Giorgia in You’ve Got a Friend. And then Emma and Fiorella Mannoia on the notes of The weight of courage, Ligabue who split between Elisa, Max Pezzali and Tananai, Irama & Rkomi, already announced in tandem. And again Rkomi with the Negramaros and Elodie, to continue again with Tananai, this time together with Pezzali for Years. Other duets: Irama and Elisa and then the tribute to Lucio Dalla by Morandi, Mannoia and Elodie with Life. In short, the duets – unpublished or already tested, foreseen in the lineup or sometimes surprisingly – are the strong point of Italy Loves Romagna.
Yesterday the concert-event to support the populations affected by the flood, which was held at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia (better known as Campovolo) with the extraordinary participation of Amadeus, Alessia Marcuzzi, Giorgio Panariello and Francesca Fagnani, raised 1 million and 800,000 euros from the sale of 40,000 tickets. All of which will go to projects dedicated to culture, in particular schools, libraries, music schools located in the most affected provinces of Forlì, Cesena and Ravenna. In fact, the sponsors took charge of the logistical organizational expenses and the artists performed for free. In order of appearance: Zucchero, Salmo, Irama and Rkomi, Fiorella Mannoia, Laura Pausini, Giorgia, Tananai, Elisa, Andrea Bocelli, Ligabue, Elodie, Gianni Morandi, Emma, Max Pezzali, Madame, Negramaro and Blanco.
The goal now is to reach 3 million, including solidarity text messages and other donations. The “Italia Loves Romagna” fundraising campaign is still active and will end on July 5th. It will be possible to donate by sending an SMS or making a call from a landline to 45538.
