“We haven’t really figured out the next steps of how we’re going to do this, but we’re just all so excited,” singer says of post-Coachella plans
Nearly two weeks after No Doubt dropped the bombshell that they’ll perform together for the first time in almost 10 years at Coachella, Gwen Stefani opened up about the surprise reunion.
Just hours before the 2024 Coachella lineup was revealed, the four members of No Doubt dropped a video on social media hinting at their first shows together since 2015.
“It just happened so fast, and that’s my favorite kind of thing to happen,” Stefani told People. “And I think really just watching the internet blow up [with] how excited that the fans are? It’s inspiring us.”
She continued, “It’s just going to be cool. It’s just going to be: Get up there and do what we always do, which is play our music and try to connect and be so grateful that we got this amazing career that we never expected to have.”
It remains unclear whether the No Doubt reunion is a Coachella one-off or a tour is in the works. “We haven’t really figured out the next steps of how we’re going to do this, but we’re just all so excited,” Stefani told People.
However, Stefani was previously announced as the headliner at her native Orange County’s Cali Vibes festival in February, and that solo gig is being heralded by organizer Goldenvoice — which also runs Coachella — as a “special nighttime performance.” Before that though, Stefani will appear again as a solo artist at a pre-Super Bowl show in Las Vegas sponsored by Tik Tok and the NFL.
