Last week the tour of the Iron Maiden career began in Hungary last week.
In the days preceding the debut, the manager of the band Ron Smallwood had shared a press release for fans of the band asking to moderate the use of phones during the concerts. “At the lives sung at the top of the lift instead of pulling the cell phone out,” had been the rather simple and clear request of Smallwood. “We would like that you were” at the moment “and actively involved, to enjoy each of these songs in the spirit and in the way they were played for the first time. This show is not only a celebration of our music, but – as you will see – also of our career, Eddie and many, many worlds of the Maiden that we have created for you. So please respect the band, respect the other fans and have fun like never before. Sing out loud instead of pulling the cell phone out! It is not much to ask, right? ».
After the first dates Smallwood returned to talk to the Iron Maiden fanbase of the matter. «A huge thanks to all those who kept the phone in the pocket, respected the band and the other fans and welcomed the show in the way it must be lived: being at the moment with us. The band has greatly appreciated, “Smallwood wrote in a post. “For the band it is much better when he manages to see you without obstacles, without that distraction.”
And then a message for those who instead persist in living the band's concerts with the phone raised: “For those few selfish people who have not done it and have continued to film … I wish you nothing more than a very painful arm!”. «Fortunately there were few, and we hope that this support from the fans, especially in the area in front of the sound counter, continue for the rest of the tour. As I said before, take some fast photos in memory of a great evening, but for the rest you keep the phone in your pocket ».
