Also among the protagonists of the two days Marco Giudicisinger-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist among the most refined on the Italian independent scene, who will perform in a duo with Adele More in an intimate and powerful showcase, presenting the new album “Suddenly finding yourself alone”.
We interviewed him to talk about the album, his relationship with Adele and the importance of contexts like SOLIDO.
“Finding yourself alone suddenly” is a record that addresses the theme of detachment in a delicate but direct way. Was there a moment, an image or a sound that started it all?
There is not a specific moment, but a moment of life understood in a broad sense, as if a cycle of conversation had opened on a series of topics – detachment, mourning, the end, abandonment, the contrast between a stasis and a movement that some of these events often impose. A beautiful moment that opened up many perspectives for me, but it is precisely one among many, was when I started improvising on drones – on ambient music – which I did only for myself and for the moment. Several pieces were born from these solitary moments, but I wasn't looking for them.
Over the years you have built a very strong artistic relationship with Adele Altro. How important was his presence in this album and what do you have in common in the way you make music?
It was fundamental, as always. It's hard for me to imagine not sharing my music with her, it's now part of it and every decision is shared. Even if when I write my songs, I also give a musical direction and I need some expressive characters that I feel to emerge, just as she does when we work on her music, I believe mutual respect for this freedom preserves the balance and nourishes it. There is never a desire to realize one's own personal urgency in the expressive territory of the other. And I believe that what unites us is constant curiosity, the desire to listen to each other and listen, to welcome new traits of ourselves, as well as involving other people in what we do, seeking added value in relationships. It is never so much the love for the sound or the gesture, but rather the whole human plot that has the opportunity to germinate under the pretext of music.

Your new album alternates lightness and depth, with an almost artisanal attention to sounds. Is there a detail that you are particularly fond of and that in your opinion says a lot about the album?
I have a conflicted relationship with the details of sound. On the one hand it's a vocabulary I know I'm familiar with, on the other hand it's something I always risk getting lost in. Sometimes it tells of my insecurity and a tendency to obsess from which I am trying to distance myself, because it prevents me from having a dynamic posture in relation to what happens to me. So on the one hand I have to answer that the representative detail of the record is that which has a casual nature, on the other the tactile and physical sensation of the sound – which I hope is felt – is something sought after.
You will participate in the Festivalino organized by SOLIDO with a special showcase in duo with Adele Altro. What kind of set will you bring to Ferrara and what does it mean for you to play in such a collaborative and transversal context like SOLIDO?
It will be a concert with two guitars, a synthesizer and two voices. It is one of the guises in which these songs will be played. I like that they have different shapes depending on who and how many are playing them. I like the idea of playing in a context of conversation on topics that involve us politically – a term understood as “life in a society”. It is a part of the collective conscience that is difficult to escape from, even in private conversations, so I find it natural to extend it to a public dimension.
After the two showcases to present the album (Milan and Rome again with Adele Altro) and the participation in Festivalino, can we also expect a tour in the future? What are your plans?
Yes, there will be concerts from 2026, but I can't announce them yet. I really want to play it, so I hope to dedicate a good period of time to it, then working on new music is now a daily gesture, but I'm slow.
