A story that passes from the stages to today's artists
Born in Rome over thirteen years ago from an idea of Davide Dose, Spaghetti Unplugged it has grown from a simple open-mic to a structured cultural project, active in live clubs, schools, suburbs and public spaces. Through scouting, training and production initiatives – how Couscous Unplugged and collaborations with institutional and educational realities – the format continues to work on a precise idea of music: public space, relationships and cultural democracy.
Over the years, Spaghetti Unplugged has become a real observatory on new Italian music. Artists such as Måneskin, Gazelles, Last, Aries, Margherita Vicario, Toe in the sore and many others.
A place where human presence, courage and judgment count. Imperfect, but authentic. Precisely for this reason, the new format also takes on a cultural and political value: a position taken in an increasingly centralized, opaque and dominated musical system dominated by the urgency of immediate results.
“We don't want to be a competition, but a community that compares and grows – explains Davide Dosecreator and driving force of the project – who actively listen to and discover new music, collectively supporting it. Here it's not about how many followers you have, but what happens when you go on stage and someone actually listens to you. We don't eliminate artists: we accompany them“.
