The tour ended two days ago, after welcoming over 250 thousand spectators.Self-portrait – The Event Concerts” Of Renato Zeroand during the last two dates at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Rome, the singer decided to surprise his fans by adding two new songs to the setlist, which anticipate the next project.
The two pieces will also be available on all digital platforms from Friday 15 November, for Tacticsand in a special vinyl version, which will be made specifically for the Christmas holidays.
The artist wanted to dedicate the new songs, like the entire next project, to his great world myths: in “Silence that your gaze speaks for you” he revisited in his own way “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word” Of Elton John and in “Stay next to me“the song”Redemption Song” Of Bob Marley & The Wailers.
“I have always kept within me the need to recover the musical, literary and cultural richness atmospheres that great artists such as Stevie Wonder, Lou Reed, Whitney Houston, The Four Seasons, Eric Burdon & The Animals, Nat King gave me Cole, Frank Sinatra and many others who seemed distant from my appetite and knowledge.
With this new project I wanted to take a look at the international panorama and decided to give these absolute geniuses of music my modest work as a writer: I started from the music that most linked me to these artists and rewrote the lyrics from scratch to tailor them to myself, so that they were my size, taking great care to respect the original composers and authors.” tells Renato Zero.
The singer-songwriter then concludes on the new album: “it will come out with a certain serenity, not immediately, because what really matters is having a candid soul, and having it spontaneously, without maneuvers: I wanted to deposit my soul in the grooves of these songs”.
