The International Videoclip Festival IMAGinACTION comes to his eighth edition. Produced by Raffaella Tommasi for Daimon Film and with the artistic direction of director Stefano Salvati, IMAGinACTION #8 will be staged on September 21 and 22, 2024 at the Teatro Comunale of Bellaria-Igea Marina in Emilia Romagna. The review dedicated to the world of music video, unique in its kind, and which in previous editions has hosted legendary artists and icons of Italian and international music, announces the name of the first artist of this new exciting edition.
Will be EDWARD BENNATON the great protagonist of the evening of September 22nd. IMAGinACTION has prepared a real tribute to one of the most innovative and unconventional Italian artists, the first in Italy, at the end of the seventies, to invent a new concept of video clip thanks to his marked creativity and the concept album 'Burattino senza fili' which with its Collodian characters – in character and connotations – lent itself to a happy music-video union.
The participation of Well-born to IMAGinACTION it will also be an opportunity for comparison, not only for his innate curiosity towards the contaminations between different artistic forms, but also for his connection with the territory that hosts this event, Emilia Romagna, a second home for him. The long artistic path of Edward Bennato will take shape on the stage of IMAGinACTION through the projection of images from the video clips of his masterpieces, interspersed with the story of what was one of the most original journeys into Italian musical creativity. The artist will also perform for the audience, giving live performances of many of his hits and songs that have become part of the collective imagination of our country.
That of the September 21st and 22nd in Bellaria-Igea Marina will be an unmissable weekend with a rich calendar of events and extraordinary live events, to offer the public two exciting evenings. The artists who will take to the stage of the Teatro Comunale will talk with some well-known music journalists, in an intimate setting, telling their story and their musical journey through a mix of images, words and music, between live performances and screenings of the most famous videos, as is the tradition of the Festival. The Festival Academy will then assign the BEST ITALIAN VIDEOCLIP AWARD 2024 (award established in collaboration with FIMI, AFI, PMI and the Italian record companies, with the participation of the best Italian music journalists), in addition to some special prizes.
