INTERVIEW WITH PETIT
Petit on All Music Italia. Welcome back, how are you?
Very good, thank you! It's a busy but very rewarding time in my life. I'm doing my best to pursue my dream. The remix of MOMMY with the SLF And Fred DePalma. I am very honored to have been able to collaborate with them.
Your first Instore Tour ended on June 16th. How was it meeting for the first time the people who never stopped supporting you during your journey within the school of Friends?
It's a little strange, because we were inside the house for 8 months. Going out and finding people there for me, ready to support me, was an incredible emotion, a dream come true. It was really nice to have the chance to hug them all, exchange a few words with them and get to know them. I am and will always be infinitely grateful to my fans. If I can do this job it is only and exclusively thanks to them.
In your first EP, Italian is contaminated with Neapolitan, but your origins also bring us back to French. Have you ever thought about the possibility of bringing together these three languages, perhaps making them your own personal style?
Absolutely. Being able to express myself through three different languages is a great advantage for me and it's something that comes very naturally to me. My goal is to have my own personality and to be recognizable. I like to challenge myself and combine Italian, Neapolitan and French: I'm very proud of my origins and I like to bring them out in my songs.
Most of the songs contained in Little He presented them for the first time inside the school of Friends. How do you assess this experience? Do you have any regrets?
Staying inside the school of Friends It gave me the opportunity to make my music known and to believe more and more in this dream. Working there you grow a lot, both humanly and artistically, and when you leave you feel ready to face everything. Now everything is going well and I can only be very satisfied. It was an unexpected experience. I didn't have great expectations, I simply tried to enjoy what I was experiencing to the fullest. For this reason I have no regrets.
Looking back quickly at your career path within the school, is there something that makes you particularly proud?
It makes me so proud that I never complained and that I always worked. I am also very happy that I made my parents proud for how I faced this path. Friends It's a beautiful experience, but it's not easy. I've always given my best.
How much and how did the relationship with Marisol influence your path?
Marisol She gave me a lot, especially when I was down. She always tried to make me see the bright side and I did the same thing with her. A lot of the EP is about love and the experience I had in Friends with her. For me, love is loving each other and supporting each other. This is what me and I do every day. Marisol.
Before closing the parenthesis of Friendswhat is the greatest lesson you have learned in these months?
To always be true and to remain myself. When I left school I understood that it is essential to keep your feet on the ground. Friends It's a starting point, not a finishing point. There's still a long way to go and I want to give it my all. I still have a lot to learn and I can't wait to do it.
If this first EP of yours was a culinary dish, what would we eat?
In this first EP of mine my origins come out; that's where everything comes from. So, I'd say we'd go eat a pizza, because it's my favorite dish and it recalls Naples.
Today, what would you like to say to the thirteen-year-old Petit who was starting to write his first songs?
I would tell him to believe, to commit and to never give up, not even in difficult moments. But, above all, I would tell him to write a lot, because that will be his strong point. Nothing will come by itself. He will have to commit himself a lot, but what he will be able to experience will be truly beautiful.
