Page Hamilton's historic band, after the great success of the last tours, will return live starting this autumn on the occasion of the Betty 30th Anniversary Tourand will stop in the city of Bologna for a unique Italian date.
Tickets for the show will be available for purchase on DICE.fm starting at 4:00 PM on Friday, July 19. Entrance reserved for AICS members.

Released by Interscope Records in 1994 after the mainstream success of “Meantime”, “Betty” achieved enormous critical and commercial success and was welcomed at the time as “experimental” for the introduction of elements of jazz, blues, improvisation and for its ability to offer something alternative to the grunge bands that were popular in the USA at that time.
“Betty” was recently reissued on vinyl for its 30th anniversary via Interscope Vinyl Collective. The track list includes five additional songs: “Flushings,” “Thick,” “Pariah,” “Biscuits for Smut – Mutt Mix” and “Biscuits for Smut – Pooch Mix.”
“After recording our first two albums, Strap It On and Meantime, with Wharton Tiers in his basement studio in downtown NYC, Fun City, we decided to try something different,” Hamilton said of the origins of Betty. “We knew that the Neve 8078 console at Motown LA was owned by Donald Fagan of Steely Dan, so we ended up at his studio on the Upper East Side, River Sound in NYC. It was a little daunting to leave the comfort of Wharton, but 30 years later we have an album, Betty, that we still love.”
Ten years ago Helmet had already taken the complete album on a tour celebrating its 20th anniversary. As for the reissue of Bettythis is the first on vinyl since 2014.
Helmet is a New York City alternative rock band founded in 1989 by lead singer and guitarist Page Hamilton. Characterized by jazz origins and post-punk inspirations, since 2010 the band has consisted of Hamilton, drummer Kyle Stevenson, guitarist Dan Beeman, and bassist Dave Case.
Helmet have released eight studio albums and two compilation albums. After releasing their debut album, Strap It On (1990), on Amphetamine Reptile, the group signed to Interscope Records and released three albums for the label, including the highly acclaimed Meantime (1992), Betty (1994), and Aftertaste (1997). The group disbanded in 1998, but reformed in 2004 and has since released four more albums: Size Matters (2004), Monochrome (2006), Seeing Eye Dog (2010), and Dead to the World (2016).
