Gregory Sanchez is back. IN THE WORDS OF OTHERS is the new EP that represents the new story of himself and his surroundings. It’s never an easy undertaking, but he tries and succeeds, with a dry and concise project, scoring four very centered and harmonious songs.

The first song is IN THE WORDS OF OTHERS, first single released, which also gives its name to the whole project, a sentence read on a wall in Bologna, which for him encloses our pre-existence in the words of our parents and in all that has been. A single that contains a bit of his entire inner journey made of nostalgia to caress, frightened by the power of words and the value they can assume, bending time as they please, in an endless spiral arrangement that can sometimes be disturbing .
He is refined in dialogue with his soul in DESPERATE, in which the value of words always has its centrality, the latter thus becoming a mirror in which to find pieces of ourselves, through the faces and eyes that have passed through us. However, language can also turn into wasted and missed opportunities to shut up as in SUMMER which thanks to the use of the hypothetical “if it could” gives him the opportunity to tell a season of the spirit, which contains tenderness and inner fires.
The climax of this narrative is SN 1987awhich takes us back to the daily life of a stain on the sweatshirt, which manages to transform itself into a spaceship that takes him back in time, for him who wants to know more about this life, made up of pasts that are difficult to digest which is perhaps the real reason behind all his wanderings.
The result is four songs, with a surprising lightness and simplicity that, thanks to a mix of sonorities, manage to give life to a melancholic climate, an exciting stylistic figure, without banality, because you can be light and simple even by digging where everything hides, the difference lies entirely in the awareness of what one is doing.
An invitation not to give weight to the inessential, getting rid of it, managing to glide over things, which does not mean being superficial, on the contrary, it means being one step ahead of those who chase after excess and the accessory and therefore unnecessary.
