THE Good Morning Chernobyl present the new single “Murderer City”, a sharp and lucid vision of the modern metropolis: the murderous city, which devours identity and human nature in the name of the homologation imposed by the system.
A system that claims to redeem, but in reality anesthetizes: it marks the days to the rhythm of frenzy, orders gray and repetitive horizons, suffocates imagination and creativity.
The martial singing of the verses is that of the workers who, like trained soldiers, march compactly towards the non-places of production, sacrificing a thought at every step. The text, a hallucinatory and broken flow, reflects the delirium of a now tired brain, which continues to function by inertia.
In the “Murderer City”, the illuminated signs and crowded streets are not symbols of life, but the perfect bait for a collective deception: the promise of opportunity that hides a relentless octopus, ready to crush every residue of freedom and authenticity.
Composed in 2018 and recently reworked, the song marks a turning point in the sound of Good Morning Chernobyl', who put aside the '77 punk of their previous works to embrace a darker, hypnotic and industrial sound. The influences of Killing Joke and Throbbing Gristle mix with a sense of contemporary alienation, becoming the perfect soundtrack of a winter dawn between fog and assembly lines, when the city awakens and begins to devour its inhabitants again.

In 2024 they entered the Sorry Mom! roster, releasing the singles “Brave New People” and “Underfaith”.
With “Murderer City”, the third single of 2025, they announce the arrival of a new album scheduled for 2026, which will include three additional unreleased songs.
