The latest single was released on Friday 12th September Little, Lingerie (21CO / Warner Music Italy) after having spoiled it a few days earlier on his TikTok profile.
On the occasion of the release, we had the opportunity to exchange a few words with Little between past, present and future. We talked about the emotions we felt this summer on the big summer stages after having presented MOMMY RMX And Lingeriehis first tour in the fall and… Sanremo 2025!
INTERVIEW WITH PETIT
We are with Petit on All Music Italia. Hello and welcome back, how are you? Before talking about the present, let's take a few steps back. On July 12th, MOMMY RMX together with SLF and Fred De Palma, a remix of your latest single that was one of the most appreciated summer songs for its freshness. How do you feel about it? And how did the collaboration come about?
All good, thanks! I spoke with them (SLF and Fred De Palma, ed.), I met them. It was the first step because I felt good and from there the collaboration started. They are artists that I had already listened to before, so I was very pleased and I am very happy with this release.
So did you contact them or did you meet at some recording or writing session?
No, I contacted them and they immediately liked it and then we got in touch and started the remix.
This summer you were among the protagonists of various musical events around Italy such as, for example, the Radio Zeta Future Hits Live, the Tim Summer Hits in Rome. How was it to start treading these first big stages with so many people, both under the stage and among your colleagues? From under the stage I could hear the people who, even if many, responded, so people sang and knew your song.
It was beautiful, a very strong emotion. Then hearing the audience singing your songs is another very strong emotion, things you dream about as a child and that I dreamed about until a year ago. It was beautiful.
Let's get back to the present because on Friday 12th September Lingerie, your latest single, was released. How did it come about?
It was the first song I wrote right after Friends. It was born with Kyv and Frada in a very natural way. We wrote what we felt, what also conveyed the mood of the base and then I immediately liked the piece, so I worked on it.
You can feel it is Lingerie That MOMMY they follow the same musical and stylistic flow with the presence of Neapolitan. It is also noticeable that that part of French is missing which, together with Neapolitan, had characterized you to Friends. Have you abandoned it at the moment or will it return in your next singles?
It will certainly be present, also and above all in terms of sound, maybe not too much in the words even if that will certainly be there too. But it depends on how I see and how I feel about writing, it starts above all from that. I don't say “I'll write this in both French and Neapolitan”.
Now moving forward, you will be touring clubs in the fall (Rome, Naples, Molfetta, Milan). Are you ready for these first big stages, all yours? What should we expect from this?
I've definitely played a lot this summer, but having your own tour is different because it's going to be a real show. I'm getting ready and the goal is to entertain and excite people live. Then obviously have them come back to the event afterwards, that's the goal.
Before the tour, if you can tell us, will there be anything else coming out or is everything still off-limits? After the tour, will there be a well-deserved rest or will it be back in the studio to write or record?
We don't have any plans yet, I can't tell you. Always in the studio though, since I left Friends. I really like writing, I feel good when I do it so I will continue to do it.
So you're almost telling us that something will come out that will group these last two singles, I don't say by the end of the year but next year?
I don't know, I definitely have a lot of auditions and then we'll take stock and see what to do and how to move.
Instead, now I would like to provoke you a little. The path up to now can be considered actually beautiful and full of satisfaction, both for you and for your team. But if I were to say two words to you: Sanremo 2025how would you answer me? Doesn't this stage scare you or do you think you can go there without anxiety?
I believe that Sanremo for every artist it is perhaps the most important stage there is, the most important week, so it would be an honor and a dream for me, then we'll see, I don't know. Yes, then I chose this job. I really like how it was to FriendsI really like that adrenaline rush that then allows me to get on stage ready and do well.
