Frankly Telephone Tango outgoing on November 4th For Carosello Records
Frankly come back with Telephone Tango (Carosello Records), the new single which marks the beginning of the collaboration with the historic label and adds an important piece to his journey between songwriting and electronics.
A song that unites Berlin And Milan, two cities that become protagonists and mirrors of the artist, animated by an endless dance: one crazy spinning top which tells of the continuous movement of those who live and create in the artistic world.
After the sensuality of Zagara, consumed in loop by me writing, Frankly returns with a dense and personal song, where the simplicity of the lyrics and the unmistakable voice once again build a muffled world, recognizable from the first listen.

frankly telephone tango – A bridge between two cities
After the secular prayer and in love with Zagara, Frankly returns with a song of love and gratitude not towards a person, but towards a place: Berlina city that welcomed and trained her for four years.
In the song, the singer-songwriter portrays her with sweetness and a hint of nostalgia:
“Heaven is like you taught me, no walls, thighs out, angels on trains when it rains.”
TO Berlin it intertwines Milanthe city of the present, the place where Frankly keep searching, experimenting, growing.
A living connection flows between the two, a “telephone tango” that pulsates with electronics and memory, with bodies and thoughts in constant movement.
“Between the two cities there is a bond that resembles a non-stop dance, since only through movement can one discover oneself.” says the artist.
And indeed Telephone Tango it's just that: a perpetual danceone crazy spinning top but full of grace, which translates into music that feeling of those who live and work in the artistic world – tossed between places, projects and identities, but always in search of a center that coincides with creation.
Sound and vision
Produced by Goedi (alias Diego Montinaro), Telephone Tango it's a small journey into sound, made of electronic carpets and elegant pop brushstrokes.
>The song is literally born from the noise of a machine similar to a telephone, transformed into rhythm, into connection, into a symbol of exchange and continuity between two worlds.
As in all the works of Franklythe simplicity of the lyrics – always direct, clear, almost confessional – finds in his voice a unique and recognizable vehicle, capable of transporting them far away.
Every time, listening to her, it seems like we are crossing an emotional geography in continuous transformation: after the sensual Palermo Of Zagarathey arrive Berlin And Milandifferent but similar sisters, animated by an energy that never stops.
frankly telephone tango – lyrics and meaning
“Oh no, I haven't forgotten you / I've just transformed.”
The incipit of Telephone Tango it is already a declaration of identity. The song is not about a finished love, but about a transformation – about a life passage, about a place that you leave behind and that continues to exist within you.
Frankly builds a small self-portrait in movement: it rotates on itself like the tower of Alexanderplatzsymbol of a changing era, and imagines itself as a personal revolution “in the new world of '89”.
It's a poetic way of saying: I'm still looking for myself, but I learned to do it by dancing.
Behind the images of Berlin — pop advertising, “cultural shock”, the red bathrooms of Stasiland — an interior city is hidden, where freedom and desire merge.
The “parts of me queuing at clubs” are fragments of an identity under construction. An echo of Berlin's nightlife which here becomes a symbol of discovery and belonging. Every reference, from “pop stars” to “red bathrooms”, is a polaroid of an era and a queer feeling, a tribute to the freedom of bodies and the lightness of chaos.
Berlin is not only the place of the past, but the emotional laboratory from which the artist is born: his “steel factory”.
Then it arrives Milan“which takes your breath away”, the present with which you have to deal.
The city of work and performance, but also of the possibility of reinventing oneself.
If Berlin is the discovery, Milan is the test: the daily training to stay alive, to adapt to “the new” without stopping moving.
“Heaven is like you taught me, no walls, thighs out, angels on trains when it rains”,
Here, we celebrate a free, vulnerable, borderless way of being in the world.
The Tango of the title is not just a dance, but a metaphor of the continuous oscillation between past and present, memory and rebirth.
The telephone, however, is the thread that holds together two cities, two lives, two versions of oneself. It is an uninterrupted connection, a constant call between what we were and what we become.
Telephone Tango it is therefore a song about movement, about never staying still.
An invitation to recognize yourself even when everything around you changes.
Because, as Frankly suggests, the revolution always begins from within and often, from a simple dance with oneself.
Oh no, oh no, oh no
And no I haven't forgotten you
Oh no, oh no, oh no
I just transformed
Rotating on myself like the Alexanderplatz tower
Thinking of myself as a revolution
In the new world of '89
Pop stars in advertising
Cu-cu-cultural shock
Alone between the two cities
Parts of me queuing at clubs
Amarcord sex
In the red baths in Stasiland
I know, I know, I know
That here Milan takes your breath away
I know, I know, I know
I would just have to adapt to the new
Dancing on myself
Like the night many ago
I am a rotating planet
In the new world of '89
Pop stars in advertising
Cu-cu-cultural shock
Alone between the two cities
Parts of me queuing at clubs
Amarcord sex
In the red baths in Stasiland
But, but, but
I move and I am a steel factory
I hear you and you are machine
Of the emotions I felt
But, but, but
The sky is as you taught me
Without walls
Thighs out
Angels on trains when it rains
Pop stars in advertising
Cu-cu-cultural shock
Alone between the two cities
Parts of me queuing at clubs
Amarcord sex
In the red baths in Stasiland
A route to keep an eye on
This new single represents an excellent entry into the “house” of Carosello Recordswho continues to believe in the new voices of contemporary authorial music.
Franklywhich we also met thanks to X Factor Italyis building an increasingly interesting path: coherent, refined, free from formulas and preconceptions.
Another precious piece in his sound world. Now you recognize it every few seconds. It is an invitation to stay in motion, to never stop rotating, just like she does.
