After a summer tour that touched the main open-air arenas in Italy, Francesco De Gregori returns to the Europaauditory in Bologna from 31 October with the “Rimmel 2025” tour, dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the famous 1975 album. A dozen concerts in theaters – from Montecatini to Turin, Parma, Genoa, Brescia, Padua, Udine, Naples, Bari, Catania and Florence – will liven up the autumn until the 24th November. In December the journey will continue in the sports halls, with two special events at the Forum in Milan (6 December) and at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome (10 December), to then end in 2025 with a series of dates in the clubs, in a return to the intimate atmosphere of the origins: from the Vox Club in Nonantola (Modena) on 23 January up to the grand finale on 14 February at the Fabrique in Milan.
The public will thus be able to rediscover the emotions of “Rimmel” and the entire repertoire of the Roman singer-songwriter in different contexts: from the charm of theaters to the strength of arenas, up to the more intimate dimension of clubs, where music becomes a direct encounter between artist and spectators.
Published in 1975, “Rimmel” represents a milestone in Italian songwriting, with songs that have entered the collective imagination such as “Pablo”, “Buonanotte Fiorellino” and “Rimmel” itself. De Gregori will present it in its entirety at each stage, alongside many other classics from his vast repertoire.
De Gregori will be accompanied by his historic band: Guido Guglielminetti (bass and double bass), Carlo Gaudiello (piano), Primiano Di Biase (hammond, keyboards and accordion), Paolo Giovenchi (guitars), Alessandro Valle (guitar, pedal steel and mandolin) and Simone Talone (drums and percussion), with the voices of Francesca La Colla and Cristina Greco on backing vocals.

The Roman singer-songwriter also landed in theaters with “Francesco De Gregori. Nevergreen”, a film by Stefano Pistolini, a special event for Nexo Studios.
Ten months ago, in his music-making, Francesco De Gregori chose an unusual starting point: he decided to perform for a month, every evening, in a small Milanese theatre, the Out Off, bringing to the stage the lesser-known songs of his repertoire – or even the “perfect unknowns”, the nevergreens, which have never risen to the status of “evergreen” – with a different set list every time and some surprise guests.
To this project, which already had the features ofhappeningDe Gregori decided to add a further level: make it into a film. Not a celebratory biopic, nor a simple concert film, but a work capable of immersing oneself in his music, moving between the songs, in the dim light of the theatre, in the experience of the evenings and in improvised meetings.
Also on OndaRock we wanted to give space to some of these precious “nevergreen” songs by De Gregori in this commented playlist.

The project was shared with Stefano Pistolini, with whom De Gregori had already worked in the past, in the documentaries “Windows broken” (2013) and “Carpenters & philosophers” (2022, together with Antonello Venditti). Together they embarked on a film that finds its story in the cyclical time of the long residency of twenty concerts and, above all, in the sounds and voices of Francesco and the artists who shared the stage with him, without space for ritual declarations or self-celebrations.
The result is “Nevergreen”, a work that aims to experiment with a new form of storytelling between music and images, intertwining them until they become a story in themselves. With the participation of Malika Ayane, Elisa, Jovanotti, Ligabue, Zucchero.
