The Iron Maiden are preparing to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Founded in London in the last months of 1975, the group is preparing to pay homage to five career decades with a new editorial initiative. Through its social channels, the Metal band has announced the release of “Infinite Dreams – The Official Visual History”, a photographic book that collects unpublished images and iconic shots of their incredible musical adventure. The volume, awaited for autumn and published by the Thames & Hudson publishing house, represents a visual celebration of the Iron Maiden career. Made in a precious bound edition, the book retraces the history of the English band in chronological order, from the first performances in the small London clubs up to the large international stages. “Infinite Dreams – The Official Visual History” celebrates not only music, but also the visual aesthetic that made the Iron Maiden an icon: in fact, a large prominence is given to the legendary covers of their albums, created by artists such as Derek Riggs and Melvyn Grant, and the evolution of their famous mascot, Eddie. In addition to the illustrations that forged the band's imagination, the volume will include exclusive shots of the musical instruments used in the studio and live, images of the spectacular sets of the tours and testimonies written by the members of the group.
To embellish the work, there will be an introduction signed by Steve Harris, bassist and founder of the band, and a afterword by the charismatic frontman Bruce Dickinson.
The Iron Maiden will celebrate their 50th anniversary with the world tour “Run for Your Lives 2025/26”, departing in May and intended to touch over thirty European cities.
