Achille Lauro with his liberating gospel Sunday, a rock & roll mass to sing all together. Mahmood & Blanco who, quoting the title of their Sanremo song, bring i Chills with a duet poised between classic pop melody and contemporary sounds. The List Representative and the playful, apocalyptic funky of Bye bye: they invite us to keep time with our hands, legs, head and even our ass, a choreography that is sincerely impossible to resist.
Among the artists of the 72nd Sanremo Festival, Amazon Music has chosen these three as the faces of its main playlists dedicated to made in Italy music. Achille Lauro with his tattoos, which even grandmothers know one by one by now, is in fact the cover of Life is pop!the playlist that lines up, song after song, the best of current Italian pop music, the greatest hits of the moment.
The couple Mahmood & Blanco represents instead Metropolitan Italythe playlist where rap, pop and indie meet: it’s the new Italian sound, these are songs that treasure our local musical tradition, absorbed by the present and projected towards the future.
Finally, Veronica Lucchesi and Dario Mangiaracina, by now universally known as The Lista Representative, are the group chosen as the cover for Indie explosionthe playlist dedicated to the Italian indie scene, singers and bands who, starting from the bottom up, are imposing themselves on the general public with a stylistic code made up of independence and freedom, both for music and for attitude.
Each playlist curated by Amazon Music tells different and complementary aspects of Italian music and, in the days of Sanremo, the absolute protagonists can only be the artists competing at the Festival.
In addition to playlists [RE]DISCOVER, which retrace the history of Italian song decade by decade, from 1951 to the last edition of Sanremo, there are also those curated by the same singers competing at the 72nd Festival for Italians Do Hits Betterthe video format hosted by GrenBaud and Gaia Clerici on Amazon Music’s social and Twitch channels: each guest artist of the show – from the veteran Iva Zanicchi to younger voices such as Highsnob and Hu – tells the Festival lived firsthand and comments on the Sanremo songs which he has chosen for his own themed playlist on Amazon Music, naturally starting with the song presented on the Ariston stage.
And between playlists Italians Do Hits Better of Amazon Music there is also ours, the Sanremo of Rolling Stone. In fact, we have selected 15 songs of the Festival that have gone beyond Sanremo: from Domenico Modugno to Mtoneskin, artists and respective songs that have left their mark, breaking with tradition.
But that’s not all because for the final evening of the Festival Rolling Stone and Amazon Music will meet together with a series of friends in the same loft where GrenBaud and Gaia Clerici met the protagonists of Italians Do Hits Better.
Saturday 5 February we will comment on the Festival in real time on our social channels – Twitter and Instagram stories – having fun with musicians, actors and digital creators such as Lodo Guenzi, Gaia Gozzi, Matteo Paolillo, Nicolò Carnesi, Mattia Stanga, and three artists who participated in the latest edition of X Factor: gIANMARIA, Nava and Le Endrigo.
There will be singing, there will be fun. We are therefore waiting for you to follow and comment with us on the final of the Sanremo Festival on the social channels of Rolling Stone and Amazon Music. And while waiting to find out who will triumph on Saturday evening, relive all the emotions of this Festival by listening to the official Sanremo 2022 playlist by Amazon Music.
