Just over fifty years after the release of their debut album, Melosi Brain they're back with a new album, Chaireout December 5, 2025 for Sony Musicexclusively in CD and LP format.
Produced by Corrado Rusticithe album contains songs written between 1974 and 1983, which over the last four years have been arranged and recorded by the original members of the band who are still alive.
In fact, Gianluigi Di Franco – voice and soul of Brain – left us in 2005. But, thanks to the most recent advances in audio restoration, his performances, saved from fragile two-track reels and cassettes of the time, have not been lost, allowing Chaire to exist, both as a tribute and as a new creation.
“Over the last fifty years, these songs – written by me together with Gianluigi Di Franco – have remained frozen”, declared Corrado Rustici.
“These were simple ideas recorded on cassette and on two tracks, destined to become Cervello's second album. With the dissolution of the group, however, they fell into a state of hibernation which, paradoxically, kept their original purity intact.”
Thus we arrive at the present day, when – thanks to technology – “we managed to revive those ideas with Gianluigi's voice“.
“For me it is almost a miracle to listen to his voice again, still naively innocent, giving shape to the melodies and giving meaning to this publication and these songs“, concluded the singer-songwriter.
“It took us five years to develop these seven songs and I really hope that all the fans who have followed us since 1973, all over the world, can enjoy this music. It is our thanks for following us and supporting us all these years.”
CERVELLO ARE BACK WITH “CHAIRE”
to celebrate this return, Chaire – word that in ancient Greece was used both to greet and to say goodbye, with the meaning of “take care” or “take care of yourself” – will see the light together with a historical document: a live recording from 1973, which immortalises i Brain in the performance of an unreleased instrumental and the songs contained in their debut album, Melos.
But that's not all! In parallel with this publication, one will also be made available new remastered edition of Meloscurated separately, to ideally complete the band's artistic journey.
