The song is inspired by the story of the ship Aquariusto which the June 10, 2018 Access to each Italian port is denied, forcing it to be blocked at sea for seven days.
On board, 629 people saved from a shipwreck. The song tells an excerpt of life through the eyes of a young woman, restless and nervous, hovering on a boat that never arrives: trapped in a destiny suspended between Africa and Italy.
“Aquarius” It swaying between reality and imagination: a dream interrupted in the middle of the sea, a submerged voice in a cage that cannot be ignored. The refrain – “Nyea Nyea”than in the language Jola del Gambia means “Now, now” – It is a song of hope, a prayer that the propeller resumes turning, that life can get back in motion.
