The time has come for Angelina Mango, who will perform tonight on the Malmö Arena stage with Boredom on the occasion of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Boredom it will be presented in a shorter version than the one heard in Sanremo. In fact, the regulation requires that the songs competing do not exceed three minutes in length. Since Italy is one of the so-called Big 5, Mango will not be voted on and will go directly to the final on Saturday 11th with France and Spain. Of the 16 singers competing tonight, 10 will pass.
Live on Rai 2, simultaneously streaming on Rai Play and Rai Radio 2, the semi-final will begin at 9pm with commentary by Gabriele Corsi, connected from Malmö, and Mara Maionchi, from Rome. Mango is sixteenth in the lineup. The end of the program is scheduled for 11.20pm.
Here is the order of appearance tonight: Malta (Sarah Bonnici, Loops), Albania (Best, Titan), Greece (Matina Satti, Zari), Switzerland (Nemo, The Code), Czech Republic (Aiko, Pedestal), France (Slimane, My love), Austria (Kaleen, We Will Rave), Denmark (Saba, Sand), Armenia (Ladaniva, Jacob), Latvia (Dons, Hollow), Spain (Nebula, Zorra), San Marino (Megara, 11:11), Georgia (Nutsa Buzaladze, Firefighter), Belgium (Mustii, Before The Party's Over), Estonia (5Miinust x Puuluup, (Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi), Italy (Angelina Mango, Boredom), Israel (Eden Golan, Hurricane), Norway (Gåte, Ulveham), Netherlands (Joost Klein, Europe).
The Italian public will be able to cast their vote both tonight and in the final, it will obviously not be possible to vote for Italy (nor clearly, tonight, for France and Spain). You can cast up to 20 votes each. At this link are detailed instructions on how to vote from home.
In the middle of the evening three former winners, namely the Greek Helena Paparizou (2005), the Turkish Sertab Erener (2003) and the Swedish Charlotte Perrelli (1999) will sing The World's Biggest Sing-Along. Petra Mede, who presents ESC with Malin Åkerman, will also be involved in an ironic number called We Just Love Eurovision Too Much. The Herreys, winners for Sweden in 1984, will finish.
During the final on Saturday 11 May (live on Rai 1 at 8.35pm) representatives of 37 countries will compete, i.e. the 20 who passed through the two semi-finals, the Big 5 and Sweden which hosts the ESC. According to Agipro, after the first semi-final the prices of Croatia increased, competing with Baby Lasagna and its Rim Tim Tagi Dim, who was already the favorite. Always behind him is Switzerland, competing with Nemo and The Code, it's Italy. Ireland and Ukraine advance.
