The hit collaboration broke multiple records and is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Regional Song
Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma have scaled major heights with their hit collaboration “Ella Baila Sola.” Spotify crowned the track as the song of the summer, and it quickly jumped to number one on the platform’s global charts. On Thursday at the Latin Grammys in Spain, eight months after the song’s release, Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma teamed up for their first televised performance of the track.
The two acts teamed up in front of an all-white set, backed by dancers wearing bright red. As they sang, white smoked curled around them and their band of musicians. Eslabon Armado’s Pedro Tovar started off the song before Peso kicked in with his “bella” lyric — one that has become famous on TikTok. Fans cheered them on in the crowd, excited to see them onstage in a rare moment.
Eslabon Armado has been riding high after back-to-back musical successes. Their 2022 album Nostalgia became the first top 10-charting regional Mexican album ever on the Billboard 200. This year, they performed on Good Morning America and threw the first pitch at a Dodgers game. They also dropped Desvelado, the awaited follow up to Nostalgia.
Peso, meanwhile, has also been busy making history. After gaining worldwide recognition with “Ella Baila Sola,” he quickly followed things up with his viral “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 55,” which also flew to Number One on Spotify’s Global charts. Génesis, the debut studio LP he released in June, landed at the top of both Billboard’s Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums charts.
