After the release of the first album Write me when you arrive (period) (Cvlto Music Group / Atlantic Records) I wasCaddeo launches the official video of the final song of the project, I can't rest.
The video clip, shot inside the eighteenth-century library of Cagliari, with the presence of Carrales Choir gives the piece an even deeper and more representative dimension, strengthening the link with the Sardinian choral tradition and making the project a true tribute to the culture of the island.
They collaborated in the making of the video Michele Garau (direction and photography), Stefano Priola (color grading), Davide Leone (Rental and operator Ronin), Gaia Lampis (coordination), Matteo Di Nunzio (direct recording and audio mix) e Hit SoundLab (choir recording).
eroCaddeo – No Potho Reposare
No Potho Repose has its roots in the Sardinian cultural and musical tradition: written in 1915 and reworked into music in 1920, the work has over time become one of the most authentic symbols of the island's identity, thanks also to the interpretations of artists such as Andrea Parodi And Maria Carta.
His interpretation enhances the delicacy of a song that speaks of love, nostalgia and desire, transforming it into a heartfelt homage to one's roots and the land of Sardinia.
The song tells of a generation that struggles to take itself seriously, that lives with doubts greater than certainties and experiences love as a fragile possibility, always on the verge of slipping away. It also faces the fear of growing up, of going the wrong direction, of confusing habit with true love.
Relationships are intense but unstable, capable of healing and wounding at the same time, made of silences as long as highways and small gestures that are worth more than any promise.
It also talks about the insecurity of never feeling enough, the desire to be loved without filters, without masks. It describes absolute, almost sacred love, a feeling that knows no rest, that overcomes time, distance, even language.
