David Van De Sfroos celebrates 25 years of solo career. To celebrate this important anniversary, he has announced an album entitled Van De Best and a special live event at November.
Van De Bestcoming outNovember 1, 2024 For BMG/MyNinais not the usual best of, but a collection that the artist has thought up specifically for the occasion. The album contains 49 great hits published by 1999 to the 2015 and re-recorded so they can be made available to the public again.
David Van De Sfroos explains the decision for this release as follows: “I decided to take a trip back on the path of my musical journey. I chose 49 of my songs that I re-sang and re-played with the help of a myriad of musicians and three recording studios that worked simultaneously. A very meticulous work that allowed us to re-propose many songs from the past respecting their spirit and structure but giving them the authenticity of the present and the sound of this time”.
The artist then underlines the particularity of the work, beyond the purely musical aspect. Fans will find “inside not a simple booklet, but a collection of pages in the exact style of my notebooks, created exclusively with unpublished material, drawings and photos. So, I am happy to present you the VAN DE BEST. I hope you like it”.

The album is available in a triple CD version and a box of 5 Vinyls, in a limited and numbered edition. The CD box contains 3 CDs and the artist's sketch book (28 pages with notes, drawings and sketches). The Vinyls box contains 5 eco-friendly vinyls, the sketch book, and an autographed and numbered print with an exclusive drawing by David Van De Sfroos.
Exclusively on the store BMG and on the singer's official store it will be possible to purchase a special version of the 5-vinyl box. This version contains a Golden Ticket valid for 2 people, which will give the possibility to participate in the rehearsals of the concert scheduled for November 23, 2024 to those who already have a ticket for the live show.
The exit of Van De Best is preceded by the publication – every week – of a track from the album. The first song that was chosen is Yanezavailable in stores from September 18, 2024. The single, released in 2011 on the occasion of participation in the Sanremo Festivalnow returns in a new version.
David Van De Sfroos tells: “I wrote Yanez on a September evening that I could define as bittersweet. I had dinner on the balcony with a friend, my family had remained on the Adriatic coast in Cesenatico, the place where I spent my childhood as a sailor. When my host left I remained there, on the balcony, alone with the guitar and I mixed a bit of nostalgia and a bit of good memories of those places thinking mainly of my father who was a big fan of Salgari's hero and who had spent a lot of time in Cesenatico before setting sail. I never considered it a sad song because for me it was an important tribute to some salty and unforgettable years.”.
