Dave Allen, bassist of the Gang of Four, died at the age of 69. The news was given by his bandmate, the drummer Hugo Burnham, who revealed how the musician suffered from a dementia principle for a few years.

He was at home surrounded by his family », he reads in Allen's message. «In recent years Dave has suffered from the principles of dementia, a difficult period for his wife Paddy, his son and his closest friends. Our love and our thoughts go to them ».
«Jon and I went to see him passing a splendid afternoon with him and his family. We spoke and laughed for hours, exchanging important memories of the time spent together. Our lives crossed for half a century. We were really happy to have ace of bass in our lives ».
