Last: what is the meaning of the clues disseminated in recent months and which will lead to new album of unreleased songs scheduled for 2026?
After a 2025 dominated by live recordings, with the publication of Last Live Stadium 2024 And Last Live Stadiums 2025both debuting in first place, the Roman singer-songwriter seems to have begun to weave the canvas for his return of unreleased songs.
If 2026 is already marked by the colossal event Last – The Fairytale forever in Tor Vergata – 250,000 tickets pulverized in just 24 hours – the signs left by Last in recent months they have been aiming towards an imminent recording project, even if there are those who dream of a collaboration that would rewrite the history of Italian pop-rock.
The trip to America: Montauk and the “40 seconds” of inspiration
In the past few months, Last he flew to the United States together with his staff. A significant stop was Montauk, a place that had already affected him deeply in the past, even if the singer-songwriter admitted that he didn't understand why he felt so attached to that place. Precisely from there came a phrase that ignited the hopes of the fans: the singer-songwriter portrayed himself on the beach declaring himself in search of those “40 seconds of artistic inspiration“A phrase that could be linked to his new era.
These are his words:
“I am an extremely earthly person.
A silent boy who asks himself a million questions, shy and even grumpy to be honest.
My mom has always told me that I'm a bear!
I don't know how the songs I wrote or the ones I will write came out…
This is where the discomfort in artists often arises for me.
I believe that inspiration comes from above, from other frequencies and above all in quick bursts.
And it's useless to try to be like those 40 seconds you had while you were writing your most beautiful song, because when you wake up you feel like you just need to go down and buy cigarettes and a good coffee.
This conflict between “elsewhere” and the ground is a bit strange to manage, but perhaps it's useless to compare yourself to your own songs because you always get lost anyway!
They come from heaven.
From something magical that has nothing to do with the usual daily breakdowns we all have.
That dot is me in Montauk facing the Atlantic Ocean… waiting for those “40 seconds”.
The journey then continued to Los Angeles, the city where Last he often travels to record (as happened for the album's title track Elsewhere) and where he met Vasco Rossi. The respect between the two is known, but the recent Californian crossings seem to suggest something more than simple courtesy between colleagues.
The Aquarius Code: The Cryptic Clues
There is an element, or rather two, that seem to be recurring Last for some time now: the symbol of infinity, certainly linked to the Tor Vergata live event, and that of the zodiac sign of Aquarius, or three parallel zigzag lines representing water.
The reconstruction of these clues starts from the physical media of the latest live album. Inside the package there is a holographic flash card showing the infinity symbol. However, by rotating the paper, the drawing transforms into three zigzag lines, the astrological symbol of Aquarius.

And it is not an isolated reference: the symbol has in fact reappeared in an Instagram post (thanks for the first place in the charts of the latest live album), a post accompanied in the caption by the icons of infinity and Aquarius, and on the profile of the singer-songwriter's record label, the Last Recordswho for Christmas greetings published an image whose graphic texture features the same wave embroidery.
Added to this is another suggestion. A while ago Vasco Rossi he posted a photo in his stories in the company of his young colleague, underlining his affinity with Last and remembering how they both belong to the sign of Aquarius.

Latest: new album in February 2026?
The sign of Aquarius governs the period from January 21st to February 19th. Combining this data with the occurrence of the symbol in the messages of Lastthe most accredited hypothesis is that a new album of unreleased songs could see the light at the beginning of February 2026, a few weeks before the start of the Sanremo Festival.
All with perfect timing to launch the race towards the Tor Vergata mega-event, perhaps with a guest appearance at the Festival which won in 2018 among the New Proposals.
The historical hypothesis: the featuring with Vasco Rossi
The biggest suggestion remains open, the one that would drive fans and professionals crazy. Are the trips to Los Angeles, the operational base where Blasco has been recording for years, and the appearance of the rocker who underlines the “Aquarius” issue just coincidences or do they hide something more?
Usually the clues of Last they are linked to personal or discographic turning points but for some – for now we are talking about fantasy hypotheses, let's be clear – Vasco Rossi could be involved in the new project. It could be that Vasco decided to be present at Tor Vergata, as well as collaborated in writing a song for their colleague's new album.
Of course, everyone's dream would be a duet between the two, the King and the Prince of the stadiums, and it would be epochal for Italian music given that in almost 50 years of career Vasco Rossi he has never recorded a duet with another artist. Could it be the designated heir of the stadiums who breaks this historical taboo?
