Just eight months after the first demo “Mother Goddess” who had definitely aroused our interest, a second two-piece EP arrives for the Italian-Finlandese Clactonian: it is again a limited release in cassette, in full underground spirit, as is often seen in the exits of the bands that run around Gef, already with the best known Thecodio.
What represents continuity compared to the previous product is certainly the conceptual proposal, namely a black/death metal clearly relating to the stylistic area of what is definable as a certain primordial War Metal War Metal of the first nineties. Essential graphics, triconography in white-black-red, sunglasses and scruffy looks, with the to say the less cartridge truth and studs than we could expect-and to do it we consider it a good for the original factor-they introduce an unusually 'cultured' lyrical concept like the prehistory, a touch of irony undeniable but above all a musical proposal. played with all the CRATE of the case.
If the main references are the Sadistik Execution or Beherit in the obsessiveness of both instrumental and vocal repetitions (we challenge any enthusiast of the genre not to recognize them in the knife and refrain of “Paleolithic Black Metal of Death”), there is a cure in the sound and execution that far exceed the average of the productions of this type.
The two songs proposed – for a total of only six minutes of music – do not allow us to make too complex speeches and therefore we limit ourselves to decreeing the success of this new second test for the Clactonian, waiting for a real record that we would like to really like it, since everything, but everything, works in “Everlasting Paleolithic”. We are talking about the alternation of a harsh voice and the growl, of the sunny and repeated solos, the obsessive but well -kept rhythms – never launched in disarray as sometimes happens in this specific style – or the distorted and martial bass: everything contributes in the correct way to create a overall dark atmosphere.
