Cinnamon in recent years representative of the Roman indie wave with I'm not a monster veers towards itpop sounds and a renewed and fresh songwriting.
“I am not a monster is self-awareness, for me it is realizing that in reality I am not a monster, even if when I feel vulnerable I tend to behave like one. In intimate relationships, those in which we expose ourselves, defense mechanisms come out. It is as if I were in a Fight Club-style fight with myself, with that internal 'monster' that wants to come out, but which does not represent me. I am not only trying to exorcise the last period of my life, but also to look at myself with other eyes and build a new version of me” As Cinnamon presents the song.
