“I'm not referring to anyone in particular or a specific encounter. It's just my version of the story, it's my feelings.” With these words the singer of Good luck, Babe! Chappell Roan introduces two videos posted on TikTok against particularly intrusive fans.
“I need you to answer my questions for a second,” he says in the first video. “When you pass a random woman on the street, do you yell at her from the car window? Do you harass her in public? Would you ever walk up to a random woman and ask, ‘Can I take a picture with you?’ If she says, ‘What the fuck, no,’ do you get mad? Would you be offended if she said no to the idea of giving you some time because you have two things to do?”
“Would you stalk her family? Follow her around? Try to analyze her life and bully her online? I’m talking about a woman you don’t know, a woman who doesn’t know you at all. Would you assume she’s a good person or a bad person? Would you assume everything you read about her online was true? I’m a random girl, you’re random guys. Think about that for a second, okay?”

In the second video: “I don't care if abuse, harassment, and stalking are considered normal for people who are even slightly famous. I don't care if it's normal. I don't care if this type of crazy behavior is related to the job and career I've chosen to do. That doesn't make it acceptable. That doesn't make it normal. That doesn't mean I want it or like it.”
“I don't want what you think you're entitled to do every time you see a celebrity. I don't give a fuck if you think it's selfish for me to say no to a photo or your time or a hug. That's not normal, that's weird! It's weird that people think you know someone just because you see them online and listen to their art. That's fucking weird! I'm allowed to say no to creepy behavior, okay?”
@chappellroanDo not assume this is directed at someone or a specific encounter. This is just my side of the story and my feelings.♬ original sound – chappell roan
