Three years after the last album, I wanted to be a rock star (2021), Carmen Consoli returns with a new project, the first album with distribution ADA after almost thirty years of publications with Universal Music.
The singer's recording career began in 1996 with the album Two wordsfollowed by 8 unreleased albums, 3 live albums and a collection. Over the years, he has received numerous awards, critics' awards and has participated three times in the Sanremo Festivalthe last one in 2000 with Black and white.
Friday 20 December 2024 double vinyl will be released Terra ca nun senti (Live in Siracusa)released by his own label, Narcissus Recordswith distribution ADA.
Carmen Consoli the new album
The project re-proposes part of the extraordinary concert that Carmen Consuls brought to the stage of the Greek Theater of Syracuse on 15 July 2023, a show dedicated to his land, the culture, landscapes and traditions of Sicily.
That live is the result of a long work that began with the foundation of the first Sicilian Popular Orchestraborn to preserve, enhance and reinterpret the traditional Sicilian musical heritage, through ancestral sounds, lyrics and instruments.
In the Orchestra we find historic musicians of the Consuls as Maximum Stronghold (guitar and mandolin), Puccio Bakers (battery) e Mark Seneschal (bass and double bass), together with popular musicians and masters from classical music, including:

With the Orchestra, Carmen he revisited his classics and songs from the Sicilian tradition, some of which make up the album's tracklist. Among the pieces stand out hits such as Orange flowers, The slope of abandonment, The last kiss, Butter words And My unclealongside more recent compositions such as I wanted to be a rock star And The usual things.
There is no shortage of songs with a Sicilian setting or language such as Maria Catena, Masino, At the window, Your mother's whore, Cunta and sing and Terra can't hear you of the unforgettable Rosa Balistreri.
The concert also included readings dedicated to great figures of Sicilian social and cultural history, including a touching interpretation on Rose Balistreri and a tribute to Peppino Kneadedrespectively entrusted to Donatella Finocchiaro And John Kneaded.
