Carmen Consoli He returns to work in the world of cinema and does so with a special project: the Sicilian singer -songwriter has signed the original music of the soundtrack of The love I havethe film dedicated to the life of Rose Balistrerione of the first great Italian songwriters, considered the “voice of Sicily”.
Directed by Paolo Licatathe film tells the story of Rose Balistreria revolutionary woman and artist who with his music has given voice to the social struggles and the rights of the weakest. The narrative develops through a journey between past and present, in which Rosa tries to reconstruct the relationship with her daughter while facing the ghosts of her life.
In the cast they appear Lucia Sardo, Donatella Finocchiaro, Tania Bambaci, Anita Pomario, Vincenzo Ferrera and the same Carmen Consoli. The film is a production Dea Film and Moonlight Pictures.

Who was Rosa Balistreri
Rose Balistreri It was one of the first Italian songwriters to bring Sicilian popular music throughout Italy.
Born in Licata in 1927, she had a life marked by difficulties, between combined marriages, social injustices and prison, but has always found a way in music to tell the suffering of the Sicilian people.
In the 60s and 70s he became a symbol of the struggle for the rights of workers and women, collaborating with artists such as Dario Fo, Andrea Camilleri and Renato Guttuso. He died in 1990, leaving a musical and cultural heritage of immense value.
