THE Corobran They break each scheme with the new single “Zero rules“: An explosion of alternative rocks with punk attitude, between sharp guitars and tight rhythms that leave no escape. But it is not only music that strikes – it is the words, sharp and provocative, to leave their mark.
“Zero rules” is a hymn to more instinctive freedom, an unbridled race against taboos and social conventions. Through pungent and ironic images, the text shakes and makes you think, revealing its deepest meaning only in the final. It is a song that displaces and makes you smile, but that also sinks the blow: “Contronatura is a questionable concept”.
Corobran
After the first album of 2014, “The Great Zoo” was released in 2016the expected second studio work of the band, followed by dozens of concerts in Italy and abroad.
Produced by Cristopher Bacchus and acclaimed by critics for its pungent sarcasm, this work represents a natural evolution of their sound, combining a decisive rock with unmistakable rhythmic funk.
In May 2018 the corobranco fly in the Chicago studios of the legendary Steve Albini to record “dependence”, the third album. All processes are carried out in analogue to preserve the band's natural sound. Some texts become more intimate, while maintaining the characteristic ironic spirit.
One night, during the recording sessions, the group steals the work suits of Steve Albini and records the video of “Indiependenza”, the first single extract from this new album. The album, published as the previous jetglow recordings, is presented for the first time live on January 25, 2019 at the Hall in Padua and followed by the tour dependence.
In March 2019 “Out of time”, the second single, enters the top 30 of the most broadcast songs from Italian radios.
In 2023 the leaders return to the studio to record five songs that represent the climax of personal and musical chemistry between the three components. “Zero rules” is the third of these new songs, produced by Alberto De Rossi and in publication for the first time under the aegis of Be Next Music with Universal distribution.
