Latin Grammy-winning duo will release their 12-track project on Dec. 20
Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso are ready to fly in with a new album to end the year. On Friday, the Latin Grammy-winning Argentinian duo announced that they’ll release their album, Top of the Hills on Dec. 20. The project was made over two weeks and “bolstered by the near-mystical power of AI,” according to a press release.
The album features 12 tracks, including the previously released single “Gimme More.” It is set to hear the duo explore an “audaciously maximalist” sound that “dismantles any of the expectations for what was to come next” for them. Among the songs included on the album are “Manos Arriba,” “Brothers,” “Rentability,” and “Un Sueño a La Vez.”
“With a sound that destroys genre boundaries and production sorcery that feels one glitch away from rewriting the laws of physics, this album doesn’t just mark a new chapter — it sets fire to the old one,” reads a press release’s description of the upcoming record.
The album cover (and the video for “GIMME MORE”) was shot the night they won their multiple Latin Grammys. The video sees them taking a helicopter over the city, visiting a gun range, gambling, and visiting a strip club. The album cover captures the pair posing in front of the helicopter in the same outfits they wore to the awards show.
The duo, which went viral thanks to their Tiny Desk concert in March, has released one album, Baño María, in 2024, and their 2025 EP Papota. They won five Latin Grammys for their work on Papota, including Best Alternative Music Album, Best Pop Song for “El Día Del Amigo,” Best Alternative Song and Best Short Form Music Video for “#Tetas,” and Best Long Form Music Video for Papota (Short Film).
