Bruce Springsteen has published a new song from Tracks IIthe collection of seven unreleased albums which will release June 27.
The piece is titled Blind Spot And it is produced by Chuck Plotkin and Jon Landau, with Taby Scott's battery programming. It is taken from Streets of Philadelphia Sessionsrecord recorded by Springsteen in his home in New Jersey after the tour of Human Touch/Lucky Town It is characterized by more electronic atmospheres, Synth and Loop, typical of the single that made the soundtrack of Jonathan Demme's film, with the participation of Tommy Sims, Zack Alford and Shane Fontayne.
It is a song that talks about doubts and betrayals. “It is the theme on which I focused at that moment,” explains Bruce Springsteen in a press communication. “I don't know why. Patti and I was having a lot of fun in California. But sometimes, if you focus on a song you like, then follow that thread. I had Blind Spotand I followed that thread for the rest of the album ».
The exit of the album was scheduled for spring 1995. The project was put aside when Springsteen put the E Street Band together. «I said: Well, maybe it's time to do something with the band, or to remind fans of the band or that part of my working life. So that's where we went. But I always liked it really Streets of Philadelphia Sessions… During the show in Broadway, I thought of publishing it as an autonomous exit. I always put them aside, but I never throw them away ».
