Britney Spears is walking back comments on Halsey's video for the songLucky. Minutes after writing on X that she felt “violated and mocked” by the Gia Coppola-directed video, which was inspired by Halsey’s own health issues, Spears said she was not the one who tweeted the criticism.
In her original post, the pop star Gimme More said she felt “very upset” by the video, which drew inspiration from Spears' aesthetic and, using the chorus of her Luckyappeared to reference Halsey’s health struggles. “I feel harassed, violated, and bullied,” the post read. The now-deleted post even threatened legal action against Halsey, calling the video “absolutely cruel.”
«I didn't know that an artist like her, someone I admired and looked up to, would describe me in such an ignorant way, packaging me as a pop star. [superficiale] without heart or care,” she continued. “I have my own health issues, which is why I closed my IG account yesterday. I will definitely reactivate it to show that I CARE.”
Why is Britney Spears taking legal actions against Halsey after the release Lucky when she got Britney's approval for the song sample?

Spears's now-deleted statement came as a surprise to many fans of both Spears and Halsey, as Halsey had sampled Lucky by Spears in the song and Spears had personally given her blessing for its use.
“Fake news!!! The person who wrote those things was not me,” Spears later wrote in a new post. “I love Halsey and that’s why I deleted everything.”
Representatives for Halsey and Spears did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone’s request for comment, but Halsey responded to Britney’s second tweet: “And I love Britney. Always and forever. You’re the first person who made me understand what it means to be inspired.”
and I love Britney!!!! I always have and always will 💕 you were the first person who ever made me realize what it means to feel inspired. And you continue to inspire me everyday. https://t.co/MRCc4WofdJ
