The musical program
To open the thirteenth edition of BOtaniqueThe June 14th it will be Nobraino, real “stage animals” just like the name of their latest album. Growing up in a musical landscape full of opportunities, that of the 2000s in which the band was formed at the rate of 150 dates up and down the country. The June 18 Killabeatmaker, Colombian music producer who brings together Colombian rhythms with Afrobeats, Amapiano and Cumbia. Not just a DJ but a multifaceted artist who performs live with his band: energetic performance and unique instruments. The June 19th L'Chamomile workshop, toy instruments and keyboards mixed with clapping, distorted guitars à la Libertines from the golden days, an Alex Turner who prefers macabre nursery rhymes to the walls of sound of arctic monkeys. Love-hate for Milan, alienation in non-places and for increasingly unlikely jobs.
The June 21st it's the turn of the Arab Strapthe Scottish duo composed of Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton, who have been active for almost twenty years, return to Italy to present “I'm Totally Fine With It, Don't Give a Fuck Anymore”, the new LP out on May 10th. An album loaded with powerful and punchy tracks, both in the upbeat nature of some of the most propulsive musical moments, and in the bite of Moffat's lyrics. The June 26 Tangerine Dreamthe electronic group born in 1967 by Edgar Froese in Berlin. Phaedra, released in 1974, became a milestone in the field of electronics. Over the years they have helped define what has become known as the “Berlin school” of electronic music, influencing the development of dance music. The June 27 an irresistible union between cumbia, psychedelic Afro-Caribbean and French-style retro style: these are the Parbleu, an eight – member multicultural combo . Fresh from participating in ESNS2024 on the stage of the Gran Theater in Groningen (NL), they will return to play the songs from the two albums released live. The June 28 La Crus, their long and splendid career began in 1995 when Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi, Cesare Malfatti and Alex Cremonesi made their innovative art available to the public which would leave an indelible mark on Italian discography. Their works have received the Ciampi Prize, the Targa Tenco (twice), just to name a few.
The July 3 FEAR, founded in 1977 quickly became – in the late 70s and early 80s – one of the most influential and iconic West Coast punk rock bands of all time! With the participation of legendary frontman and Hollywood actor Lee Ving (Flashdance, Streets Of Fire) they return for an unmissable tour around Europe. The 4th of July Cranes – born in Portsmouth, United Kingdom – for decades one of the most elegant dark-wave bands across the Channel with ethereal sounds balanced between dream-pop and shoegazing.
The July 12th they return to play in Bologna i JoyCutafter the success of the date at the Teatro Manzoni – last September – with the Orchestra, the tour of Europe with Archive and return from the United States, invited by the historic Seattle radio station KEXP, to record one of their prestigious exclusive live sessions. The themes addressed by JoyCut have always had the sacredness of a ferociously violated “nature” at heart. “The Blue Wave“, the last album released in 2022, once again explored these themes and was presented with an exclusive installation at the MAMbo – Museum of Modern Art in Bologna.
Closes, the first artists announced, King Hannah on July 17the indie-rock duo from Liverpool who will release the new LP entitled “Big Swimmer”. Big Swimmer places the duo in a further evolutionary step from their first album, with a new understanding of their sound, their strengths, their gratitude and their vision for the future. An understanding that brought confidence in the new songs and the balance they found. As you listen, you're likely to find yourself daydreaming about a sparkling summer lake, wanting to dive right in.

The relaxation area and the restaurant, for almost six weeks, will be the surround and setting for major live events and will give the opportunity to spend time listening to your favorite artist or enjoying the fresh evening air between a drink and street food flavors. It will be a totally “plastic free” festival, because plastic will not be spread in any form within the gardens: the water will be free and distributed by special refrigerated systems, glasses and crockery will be made of paper-based or organic materials, no straws.
