“Tall Tales of a short rock star,” says Bono with a word game. The fraud of a low rock star are the ones that the U2 singer says in the theatrical show Stories of Surrenderin practice the spectacularized story of a life.
The show, linked to the book Surrender. 40 songs, a storyit also passed from Italy in May 2023 for a special evening at the San Carlo Theater in Naples which was filmed, like the previous ones, for the documentary that will be possible to see from 30 May on Apple TV+ (we wrote here).
Now the trailer for what is presented as a “vivid reimagination” of the show in which the excerpts of interview with the singer and images shot on stage alternate, where Bono was accompanied by the producer Jacknife Lee to electronics and percussion, by the cellist Kate Ellis and of the armpist and singer Gemma Doherty. The director is Andrew Dominik.
