THE Blonde Redheadhistoric indie-rock group composed of Kazu Makino, Simone and Amedeo Pacereturn to Italy for two special summer dates.
The first appointment is set for June 30th at the Music Park in Milanfollowing July 1st they will perform at the Bonsai of Bologna.
Their latest work in a record “Sit down for dinner“It is an album that touches important and deep themes typical of adulthood, creating almost a contrast with the rhythmic and sparkling music that accompanies each song.
A meticulous and engaging job that has taken shape for 5 years between New York, Milan and various places in Tuscany. “Life changes in an instant, you sit for dinner and the life you have always met ends in a moment”, These are the words that Joan Didion wrote in a passage of his book published in 2005 and it is precisely from here that the thought that underlies this album is originated.
The interruption of communication in a relationship, clinging to one's dreams and the sacred rite of gathering at dinner with the family thus recreating a unique moment in order to spend time together are some of the issues contained in the disc.
More than 30 years of career marked by an unmistakable, refined and constantly collaborative evolution that refuses to be cataloged in a single genre. A musical career that continues to explore new territories starting from the noise rock of the debuts that has allowed them to find a place inside the SMELLS Like label of Steve Shelley, drummer of the Sonic Youth (producer of their first homonymous album), and then moved from the Dream-pop and get to an electronic and more sophisticated sound rock.
