THE Blonde RedheadThe historic indie-rock group formed by Kazu Makino and the brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace, they returned to Italy last summer for two special dates that brought back all the charm and energy of their music on stage.
During these Italian dates they presented their latest album “Sit Down for Dinner” live, a job born from a long creative process that lasted five years between New York, Milan and different locations in Tuscany. The disc dealt with deep themes related to adulthood, such as the interruption of communication within a relationship, the need to cling to one's dreams and the ritual of finding yourself at the table with the family, inspired by a step by the book by Joan Didion of 2005: “Life changes in an instant, you sit for dinner and the life you have always known ends up in a moment”.
The audience was able to rediscover more than thirty years of career of a band that has always refused to let himself be pigeonholed in one genre, naturally crossing the noise rock of the beginning-which brought them inside the SMELLS Like label of Steve Shelley of the Sonic Youth-to then evolve towards Dream-Pop sounds and landed on a refined electronic rock. An artistic parable that continues to confirm the Blonde Redhead as one of the most original and sophisticated names on the international scene.
