Billie Eilish was hit in the face with an object that appears to be a bracelet while performing in Glendale, Arizona, on Friday. An incident that adds to the already high number of incidents in which people have thrown objects at artists while they are performing, which can be dangerous and has already actually caused some damage.
On Friday, Eilish sat at the edge of the stage as she sang the song that won her an OscarWhat Was I Made For?from the soundtrack of Barbie . As she sang with her eyes closed, someone threw what appears to be a blue bracelet at her, which hit her face, video footage taken during the concert shows. In the clip, the singer quickly turns her face to the side and grimaces.

Then she turns towards the audience with an expression of disappointment, but like a true professional she doesn't miss a beat and continues singing. As he continues walking, he picks up the bracelet and throws it away. Luckily, Eilish appears to be okay after being hit in the face, but others were seriously injured, like Bebe Rexha, who needed three stitches after being hit by an iPhone that someone threw at her face during a performance in 2023. Last month, Zach Bryan had to stop his concert in Portland after a cylindrical object hit his right leg, and just a few days earlier, during Bryan's same tour, his guitarist was shot by another object thrown onto the stage.
Eilish has already spoken out in the past about this deplorable trend of fans throwing objects at artists while they perform: «I don't know why it happens. People get excited and don't understand that it can be dangerous,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023. “I have mixed feelings about it. You know it's out of love and they're just trying to give you something.”
