Three years after Gumma, Giorgio then come back with Chips (Bomb records / Sony Music), a disc born from a phase of profound transformation, which collects sparks of life and collision feelings, translating them into a stratified sound and in a narrative as poetic as it is visionary.
Written between December 2022 and October 2024, the album – which will see the light on Friday May 2nd – is a real manifesto of the artistic sensitivity of Giorgio thenwhich has played all the tools on the disc, taking care of every single sound detail with the friendly supervision of Laurent Brancowitz of the Phoenix.
And if his beginnings had imposed him as one of the most original voices of the contemporary scene, Chips it will definitely consecrate it, with one writing that is done even more clear and cinematographic.
Each song is Indeed a precise snapshot; A small surreal and poetic picturedotted with irony and lightning colds; A stage of a journey with details that seem stolen from a daydream, transforming the instability into motion, the research in freedom:
“I like to feel exploded, released, shot away together with everything and everyone. A splinter of other infinite splinters”.
But… What happens after an explosion? Slits, sparks, scattered pieces that seek a sense in chaos. Energy is dispersed, the particles separate. Then, something new takes shape. It is the principle of Big Bang: Harmony arises from the fracture; After the breakdown, everything will tend to recompose itself.

The album is the result of a period of great inspiration, which has further strengthened the Bond of the artist with musiccompanion of long walks in the Eternal City: a relationship nourished by intense and varied listenings, ranging from instrumental music to that ambientfrom the classical music to soundtracks.
Specifically, Chips It moves between explosions and suspensions, enveloping sounds and delicate images, which intertwine with sharp sentences. And here the words tell stories of expectations and distances, of inevitable choices and impossible returns.
As, between irony and melancholythe candor of the daily images cracks, revealing what is hiding under the surface, like a layer of paint too thin to hide the stains on a wall or cancel its asbestos soul.

On 9 May the European tour Of Giorgio thenwho will land in Italy on May 24, on the occasion of MI loves.
