Written, composed and produced by the singer-songwriter, they arrive after hers disc-revelation La Maccaiaconsidered by the public and the media one of the best Italian albums of 2025, and after the live performances in prestigious European festivals such as Trans Musicales in Rennes (FR) – where she also performed for the iconic American radio KEXP – and theESNS in Groningen (NL).
Two songs that are one the epilogue of the other and both the epilogue of the journey that began with the album released last spring.

A very deep part of my intimacy has entered La Maccaia and, as a conscious choice, I decided to bring this dimension into the open. But what happens after our world, contained in an album or in the experience of a concert, becomes everyone's? What is the horizon that I observed, and from what perspective did I look at it? What did the public see and what do I see? La Maccaia he lived, and also what I was during La Maccaia he lived. I think about those who listen to me and I think about when they leave. – says Gaia Banfi. When everything looks like an empty theater, when everyone leaves and I'm alone, what's left?
Side A, with the first song, To his restfollows precisely the slow manifestation of the bitterness that remains when one discovers that something has run its course. An unconventional ballad, with a melody and harmony that develop in a relaxed and dilated manner throughout its duration, as if to give the right weight to every sound and word. In this frame it takes shape the second, In lightside Bwhere the voice and the dirty sound of an organ – obtained with a 70s keyboard, only remaining instrument from my father's musical lifesays Gaia – they need to be alone to draw attention to the text and the image of death understood as an emotional landscape, as an inner vision, journey and rest, up to an instrumental coda that frees the thoughts to make room for a positive release.
From a feeling of restlessness and disorientation a resolved perspective is thus born: what surrounds us at a certain point stops. And in that rest everything appears complete, in its place. I then understand that there is no precise purpose behind things, nor a pattern. I imagine just a light – concludes Gaia – which expands and propagates when everything is accomplished.

The closing is entrusted to the words written and pronounced by REHHLL, an Italian-Argentine artist already present in the album, to seal how the cycle of La Maccaia – as it was born at that precise time – is now finished. There is a new story in progress, which started from there but which is no longer the same.
And then it is left to die and rest because everything has fallen into place.

For Italy the singer-songwriter arrives on February 13th Palermo at the Candelai, on February 14th Catania at MONO, on March 6th Fiorenzuola d'Arda (PC) at the Circolo Arci Tre Rose, on March 7th Ferrara at Officina Meca, on March 13th Villasanta (MB) at the Cineteatro Astrolabio, on March 18th Parma for Mind for Music and on May 30th Rome at Spring Attitude Festival. A first summer date has also been announced Lamezia Terme (CZ) at the Color Fest scheduled from 11 to 13 August 2026.
In Europe, where ever greater interest is being created around the artist, the appointment is on February 19th Ljubljana (Slovenia) at the Ment Festival and on February 21st in France ad Annecy for Hors Piste Festival. Then, for another four dates, in France: on March 25th Rennes at UBU, on March 26th Rouen at Le 106, on March 27th Lorient at Hydrophone / Rage Sacrèe and March 28th Paris at Le Petit Bain / Rage Sacrèe. And again, in Portugal, on April 9th Coimbra at Salão Brazil and on April 10th at Guimarães at Westway Lab. Followed on April 11th Hyères (France) at Faveurs de Printemps, on May 2nd Arlon (Belgium) in Les Aralunaires, and again in France on 7 May Metz at Les Trinitaires, on May 9th Dijon for the Extra Festival and on May 29th Aix En Provence at La Manufacture.
