The first musical guests have been announced The Game Awards 2024: these are artists who participated in the soundtrack of the second season of the highly popular Netflix animated series produced by Riot Games and Fortiche Production, Arcanebased on Riot's most popular video game, League of Legends. The one-night-only musical event will feature i Twenty One Pilotsa Grammy Award-winning duo, together with the artists d4vd And Royal & The Serpentwho will perform accompanied by The Game Awards Orchestra, conducted by award-winning maestro Lorne Balfe. The performances will be part of the event celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Game Awards, broadcast live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
The musical event dedicated to Arcane season 2 during The Game Awards 2024 will include live performances of three original compositions, created specifically for key moments from the Emmy-winning series. Songs in the lineup will include songs from the Season 2 soundtrack, including “The Line” by Twenty One Pilots, “Remember Me” by d4vd and “Wasteland” by Royal & The Serpent, performed by the same artists. This will be the second time The Game Awards has hosted live performances featuring the music of Arcaneafter the musician Sting, winner of 17 Grammys, performed “What Could Have Been” in 2021, a song taken from the soundtrack of the first season.
Ahead of the event, the Grammy award-winning duo, Twenty One Pilotstoday presented the music video for “The Line“, a song that accompanies a crucial moment in the third and final act of the series. The song, written by singer Tyler Joseph, was released on Friday, November 22. “The Line” is the latest single from the two artists, whose music has surpassed 33 billion streams worldwide over the course of their careers.
