A Hand to Life Etsa Milanese non-profit organization that has been supporting and developing health, welfare and social initiatives in the field of palliative care for thirty-eight years, announces a special charity event in the name of music and social commitment. Saturday 19 October at 9pm at the Milan Auditorium in Largo Gustav Mahler, Antonella Ruggieroa powerful voice of Italian music, will dedicate the Milanese date to his “Versatile Concert” to support the project “Medicine of the Fragile”.
The evening will be an opportunity to listen live the unmistakable voice of the singeraccompanied by Roberto Olzer on the piano and liturgical organ, Roberto Colombo to the vocoder and synth bass and Ivan Ciccarelli to percussion. Together they will lead the audience on an intense journey between his most beloved songs – such as those sung with Matia Bazar – and the most recent ones, also offering homages to Italian and foreign authors in a new reinterpretation with ethnic sounds, new arrangements and interpretations.
The proceeds of the evening will be donated to the project “Medicine of the Fragile”which aims to create a team of Palliative Care specialists within the Emergency Department of the Niguarda Hospital in Milan. Two palliative doctors, a nurse and a psychologist will operate with a specific protocol for promptly identify, upon arrival in the emergency room, frail patients with advanced chronic-progressive diseases. The intent is to start adequate treatment pathsavoiding further suffering for patients and their families and reducing costs for the community.
