After the cancellation of the Roman date of November 9th, Angelo Branduardi also cancels his concert scheduled in Venice. The Teatro Stabile del Veneto reports this in a note: “Following the extension of the hospitalization for checks, the scheduled concert by Angelo Branduardi 'Cantico 2025' on 15 November 2025 organized by Veneto Jazz in collaboration with the Teatro Stabile del Veneto at the Teatro Goldoni in Venice has been postponed to 10 January 2026 – reports the note – Tickets purchased in advance are valid for the recovery date. Any requests refunds will be possible on the platforms where the purchase was made, starting from 15 November 2025 and until 15 December 2025”.
In reporting the news, the singer-songwriter's Facebook profile informs that “Angelo's conditions remain stable” and “the results of new tests are awaited”.
Angelo Branduardi had been forced to postpone the concert at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome due to a sudden illness. The singer-songwriter, currently hospitalized for clinical tests, had therefore to suspend the appointment, included in the “Il Cantico” tour.
The family is awaiting the results of the tests the artist underwent. In recent days Branduardi had felt symptoms attributable to a picture of asthenia, with a widespread feeling of weakness and tiredness. He is currently being cared for in a health facility near Varese, the province where he lives, in the municipality of Bedero Valcuvia. The Auditorium Parco della Musica, in communicating the postponement, spoke of “health problems resulting in hospitalization”, underlining the precautionary nature of the decision. The Roman date has already been rescheduled for December 26th, Boxing Day, again at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
The project, dedicated to the 800 years of the “Canticle of Creatures”, is a tribute to the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi, who has always been a source of inspiration for Branduardi. On stage the singer-songwriter is accompanied by Fabio Valdemarin (keyboards), Nicola Oliva (guitar), Stefano Olivato (bass) and Davide Ragazzoni (drums).
Born in Cuggiono (Milan) in 1950, Angelo Branduardi is among the most original musicians on the Italian scene. Graduated in violin at the Milan Conservatory, he was able to blend elements of medieval, folk and classical music into a unique language, also recognized abroad. Among his most famous songs are “Alla Fiera dell'Est”, “La pulce d'acqua” and “Cogli la prima mela”, successes that have marked the history of Italian songwriting. Raised in Genoa, he trained musically at the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory, studying violin. He is married to Luisa Zappa, author of many of his lyrics, and has two daughters.
