“Passers -by, monsters and ghosts “ is the new and fourth album by Andrea Carbonia record out of time where the new declination of theanti-pop Di Carboni gave birth to songs that follow one another like a succession of images and texts.
Songs that, free from the typical song form, accompany the listener in the inner world and in the poetics that permeates this work with which the artist has definitively stripped of the superstructures of the first releases.
“Passers -by, monsters and ghosts “ It was born from an open window on the sea of Sardinia, in a collective moment in which to look inside it was one of the few resources available.
Thus, while the previous records had dealt with themes such as love (TWO [ ]) and social criticism (The cosmetic revolution) with a substantially subjective look, on this album the gaze becomes somehow circular. Through eight songs there are relationships between human beings who then return to themselves, a journey that aims to question roles, decisions, dreams, ideals, in a continuous birth and dying of passers -by, monsters and ghosts.
The idea of the album took shape in the summer of 2020, with the research by Andrea Carbon of a personal dimension, a circle made only of a few people (Daniela Savoldiwho arranged and played all the arches and Paolo Mauriwho produced the disc) who in recent years have become part of the musical family of the Tuscan singer -songwriter.
