Who follows RockOn knows that the center of our editorial research for music lies in the live dimension, in concerts, whether pure mosh pits or secret concert hidden in a basement (or in the kitchen, or in a bookcase, in fact).
Every place (even with bad acoustics, yes), today is good for holding a concert, creating a special moment of sharing, and this year we have seen it done more or less everywhere, and we can say that we have gained some experience in say whether a live performance was good or not – but above all, we realize it based on what the audience experiences and feels. And it's not a little. Also because, whether we review it or photograph it, we are public too.
Because of this, in line with the spirit of the end-of-year lists, we have decided to list for you those who, according to the RockOn editorial staff, photographers and press editors, were the best live performances of 2024those for whom we give thanks, who we did not expect or who we expected more and, by luck or divine will, they did not disappoint our expectations.
And no, they are not the ones we necessarily reviewed. And that's the beauty of it.
