On a cold evening at the end of December, the Wishlist Club in Rome becomes the refuge for a heterogeneous and curious audience in a free evening that will completely fill the place. The event is orchestrated by the synergy between Radio Rock, Radio Rock Italia and the partners Febbra Rock, Band & Breakfast and Raccoon Music, who for the occasion have created a dual scenic mechanism: the energy of the evening bounces between electric sets and acoustic brackets, in a continuous flow featuring the promises of the emerging scene. The eight protagonists of the evening are all very young.
On the electric stage side, the coordinates definitely veer towards rock. What stands out is the impact of DLEMMA, a group capable of combining an abrasive sound with surgical precision for an enthralling formula that doesn't take long to involve the audience. The level remains high even as the setlist progresses: Sine Mora confirm themselves as a well-established and effective band, with the enveloping warmth of their valve guitars and the verve of their frontman. Positive signals also from Le Questioni Irrisolte, which combine the singer's ironic attitude with an energetic and enthralling live performance, before the closing entrusted to Scudo, skilled in not letting themselves be affected by some technical snags and bringing home a solid set.
Between one electric set and another, the tension never dropped thanks to the performances on the acoustic stage, in which the musical narrative moved to softer registers. Space, then, for the singer-songwriter intimacy of Lara, for the powerful and blues voice of Fosca, who in his set also hosted a featuring by the Roman rapper Upnea, for the original mix of technique and eccentricity of Aspra, particularly appreciated with their cover of “Je so' Crazy” by Pino Daniele, and finally for the engaging performance by Ventidue, winner of the last edition of the Raccoon Music Award and present with an interview on our webzine: a performance that enthralls the audience with a mix of pop and hip-hop and ends with an ironic Christmas free style on “Deck The Halls”, culminating in the slogan “”Merry Christmas ugly fools”, perfect to summarize the atmosphere experienced on the Santa Caos stage.
In short, the Wishlist musical marathon was not just a party, but the confirmation of the vitality of a Roman underground scene that still has a lot to say and which we will continue to follow and promote on OndaRock.
