When it comes to theatrical improvisation, the group of Sticky demonstrates how seriously you can play with comedy, creating something vital and interesting without any script. ADDUE is the event that celebrates this talent, bringing on stage important names of the Italian stand-up scene, such as Francesco De Carlo, Edoardo Ferrario, Daniele Fabbri, Davide Calabrese (Oblivion), Chiara Becchimanzi, supported by the same Stickyhistoric Roman group of improvisers.
The formula is simple: every evening a different guest builds, together with the Appiccicaticci, a completely improvised show, based on the ideas provided by the audience in the room. This is, in fact, what gives life to the stories and situations that are represented, in a mix of daily relationships, misadventures and unexpected moments. Each show is unique, different and, above all, fun.
We attended the evening of September 17, 2024 at the Teatro Sala Umberto in Rome, where the couple Abis Houseformed by Gabriele Abis and Stella Falchi (https://www.instagram.com/casa.abis/), wanted to develop the theme “Travel and vacations”. Thanks to the ideas of the public, we saw improvisations born that touched destinations such as Fuerteventura, Ibiza, Barcelona and the fascinating Rocca Calascio in Abruzzo.
Leading this dynamic and complex theatrical machine was Tiziano Storti who, with extraordinary mastery, gave life to credible and multifaceted characters, demonstrating a stage mastery capable of maintaining the coherence of each improvisation and giving the audience always satisfying conclusions.
Storti demonstrated a rare ability to integrate small misalignments on stage, transforming them into creative opportunities, tying together the different improvisations into a single, cohesive show.
Next to him, Gabriele Abis And Star Hawks they stood out for their authenticity and generosity. Throwing yourself into the art of improvisation without a safety net is always a challenge, but the two were able to face it with courage. Even in the most complex moments, their performance conveyed to the audience the beauty and risk of this profession, with the awareness that each performance can be both a success and a challenge. Taking them by the hand, always and in any case, Tiziano: not a net, but a refined director.
At the end of the two hours, Storti, sweaty and visibly satisfied, greeted the audience, demonstrating once again that improvisation, if done well, is an art capable of surprising and entertaining. A collective experience, which reflects the human essence, with its imperfections. In a word, alive.
