The surreal Bugo is back, announcing the “farewell to the stage” concert in an original way. It will be, a press release assures, “an unrepeatable final party to sing with him once again”. It will be held at Alcatraz in Milan on April 1st.
So is it an April Fool's joke? What makes it surreal is the announcement in a video interview in which the role of the singer-songwriter is played by Valerio Lundini. «I'm stopping with my career as a musician», says Bugo-Lundini. «I'll say it right away: the date coincides with April Fools' Day and it smacks of a joke. In reality the date is really April 1st. I wanted to do it on March 31st, but I have my own family commitments.”
On Facebook Bugo, the real one, is very direct: «It will be my last concert. No encore, no “maybe” and I want it to be an unforgettable evening. Come. Let's mess things up once and for all.”
