Last night Soundgarden performed at the Showbox in Seattle in a benefit to raise money for Seattle Children's Hospital. For the occasion the band dusted off an old alias, Nudedragons, which as is easy to understand is an anagram of the word Soundgarden, and which had already been used in the past in 2010 for the first reunion.
The three original members of the group, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron took to the stage with Seattle singer Shaina Shepherd (read here if you want to know more) to play five songs from the band's repertoire, Hunted Down, Outshined, Flower, Beyond The Wheel And Kickstand and a cover, Kick Out The Jams of the MC5. For Kickstand And Kick Out The Jamsthe Nudegardens were joined on stage by Duff McKagan, historic member of Guns N' Roses, who contributed vocals and guitar to the songs.
Here are some videos of the evening, including the entire show (which lasted just over 25 minutes) which also immortalized a failed stage diving by Shaina. Watch the videos.
