New single for DECIsinger-songwriter born in '91, who returns with a song entitled What are skyscrapers for? of which we present a preview today on All Music Italy the official video clip.
The singer-songwriter's musical project DECI with the latest singles he has moved towards a dark variant of pop rich in electronic and synthwave sounds.
DECIDE WHAT SKYSCRAPERS ARE FOR
This new single was written by Francis Merlotti, Stephen Paviani, Gianluca Florulli and produced and mixed by Lagoon. The song is out for BeatFactory Productions with distribution Believe.
What are skyscrapers for? it is a piece outside the canonical mold, characterized by a synthetic sound that recalls dreamy atmospheres. DECI tries to make us reflect on the importance we give to work and the chores that oppress us on a daily basis, inviting us to find a dimension in which we can take a breath of fresh air and, above all, change perspective, so as to be able to give the right weight to the events we experience and finally understand what the priorities are in the lives of each of us.
The artist tells it like this:
“The sound journey it is certainly cinematic and gets its hands dirty with minimalist but pleasant electronics, creating a perfect union between two contrasting elements, even visually, such as the sky and skyscrapers. All this is comparable to the breath held before a dive, which then arrives like a breath of liberating air, in an explosion of voices and sounds that orchestrate an alchemy of ethereal suggestions so much so that at a certain point the mantra 'Air, Air , Breathe, Breathe' becomes a personal need: it feels like being on the top of a skyscraper breathing deeply while enjoying an incredible view and in the midst of the passing clouds now the metropolis seems so small and insignificant from this prospect.“
The readers of All Music Italy they can preview the video clip of the song below. The direction of Richard Sanmartini focuses on the skills of the highly trained dancer Luca D'Amato who plays the part of us that needs freedom through his dancing and acting skills.
All in contrast with the rigidity and duty represented by the other protagonist, Andrea Simonetti. The video was shot among the skyscrapers of the Bologna trade fair area, which certainly contributed significantly to underlining the atmosphere of the musical choice and its lyrics.
